Do we need to be mentally sick to be irrational? I have a friend with a PhD in Anthropology who asked me the difference between the debt and the deficit and another bean counter friend who didn't know who our Prime Minister was! How could these healthy individuals and millions around them be making optimal life decisions when they don't even know the basics? I think the word should be optimal and not rational!
