Though that picture really did get posted to an online auction site several years ago, it wasn't ebay, and ebay didn't write that warning message.

Why would anyone pay to buy a cheap, utilitarian, durable, ubiquitous Revere Ware teapot *used*? I thought these things were like kleenex: use one for a few decades until the handle burns off then go to Target and get another.

I think the tea kettle with the hidden, yet not so hidden ugly is analogous to what the Fed Chairman said today about the economy.

Seems all that Wall Street saw was the shiny kettle when in fact there was something right in plain sight that should have given them pause.

Better yet don't look closely.

Posted by: Christopher Laudani | Nov 28, 2007 6:15:43 PM

Sorry, Chris. That was me. I put on a few pounds.

Gives a whole new meaning to that song...
I'm a little teapot short and stout
This is my handle, this is my spout.

Not a good meaning...just new...

Winston: Nice... how can I possibly sing that song with my 2-year-old daughter now? It's forever tainted. Ech.
That photo proves the big thing about the internet, though, doesn't it? 1) There is no insurance for I.Q., and 2) There is no way to avoid seeing a naked dude reflected in a teapot. Even if you are looking at financial websites... the whole thing leads me straight to the heebie jeebies.

I think that's the inflation Genie taking a Picture of his prison cell over the last 2 decades, after finally escaping.

I'm Free at last... Ugh!

Knew he'd be ugly.

This could become the 'Where's Waldo (from hell) of the 2000s'.

There is a whole subculture of people who have been doing this for years. Google, dudes.
