I've always that it was telling that DIS has sidelined Jiminy Cricket:

This is a flow chart of WWII vintage, when Walt Disney Productions was doing lots of war work (propaganda/training films).
Government contracts were, I'm told "cost + 10%" and kept the Mouse House afloat when its European markets were cut off.
